Gallon is a unit of volume, Kg is a unit of weight (mass).
1 Gallon = 3.7854118 liters
Considering a liter weighing 1 Kg (water for instance), then a gallon weighs 3.7854118 Kg.

Kg To Gallons

To expand upon Robert’s answer…
A kilogram is a mass; a gallon is a volume – to convert between the two you need to know the density of the liquid. Then, you can take 1 gallon, multiply by density (make sure it’s in the form kg/gallon – you may need to do some conversions) and you’ll get mass.

I think you’re mixing apples and oranges here.
‘Gallon’ represents a unit of liquid, while ‘kg’ represents a unit of weight. So, a gallon of water weighs a different number of kg than a gallon of gasoline, for example.
A gallon is comparable to 3.8 litres. A litre is a little more than a quart in liquid measurement.

Here is what you need and the equation.
You need today’s S.G spicific gravity to get the conversion factor. For today the SG is 0.780 .. now here is the equation 0.2642/0.780= 0.3387
0.2642 is a fixed number. 0.3387 is your conversion factor. Now you just simply the gallons on the conversion factor .. 1/0.3387 = 2.95kg
