I need to know what is the basic (normal) timetable setup for American high school timetables.
I'm Australian and I have NO idea if it is the same as ours over here.

At my highschool it went like this...
Monday-Friday
7 class periods each day. Same classes at the same time everyday.
1st period 8:30 - 9:38
2nd period 9:42 - 10:36
3rd period 10:40 - 11:35
4th period 11:39 - 12:34
5th period 12:38 - 1:33
6th period 1:37 - 2:33
7th period 2:36 - 3:30
So you have 4 minutes to get to your next class...which sometimes would be on the edge of impossible.

Year 10 is Sophomore year in high school.
I think it is safe to say that there is no one standard schedule for high schools here in America. Usually it is dependent on the school how they decide to structure their schedule.
When I went to high school (some years ago...not THAT long ago...) my schedule consisted of 6 periods but we had rotating periods with only 5 periods per day. School started at 8 and ended at 2:20, except for Wednesdays that ended 1:30ish...I forgot the exact time.
M - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
T - 6, 1, 2, 3, 4
W- 5, 6, 1, 2
Th - 3, 4, 5, 6, 1
F - 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Recess break would fall after the second period of the day, lunch would be one more period after that. Each class ran for about an hour with 5 minutes of passing between classes.
There were alternative schedules too for weeks with holidays and such. There could be a 6 period day, 4 periods or even 3 periods a day during testing time when more time was needed.

there is a blue day and a white day. they alternate. so:
Mon: blue, Tues: white, Wed: blue, Thurs: white, Fri: blue, Mon: white, Tues: blue, etc.
I get there at around 7:00
school starts at 7:40 (a bell rings)
every class is 1 and 1/2 hours long
there's a 7 minute change between classes (a bell rings when when class ends, and when class starts)
4 classes a day
lunch is after your 2nd or 3rd class, depending on which class you're in.
school ends at 2:10
we get Saturdays/Sundays off and some vacations.

theres different kinds ..
theres the: monday-friday
or_
schedule days 1-8 (usually)
at my school we go in at 930-320.
2 recess (1030-1045, 210-220) and a lunch(1200-100)...
classes run monday-friday.. thats about it.
