TotallyLayouts.com has some good gay pride/gay support themes. I linked to 1 example in the source below.

The intent of Pride parades never has been to show others that "we are just like everyone else." It was and has always been about self-support. The blatant sexuality does make me cringe, but the very reason we are discriminated against is strictly a sexual difference to begin with. I understand where you're coming from, and an evolution in the idea behind Pride is in order, and frankly is taking place. Pride functions (other than the parades) are much lower-key than they used to be and aimed at families (often).

[steeling myself for any thumbs down] I agree with you. I've never been a flag waver. In fact, I've never been to a Gay Pride Parade in my life. Am I self-loathing? Not at all. But I don't see the need to throw my sexuality - something that is only a part of who I am - into everyone's face. Come November, in California, is it going to help our cause to defeat a possible state constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage by throwing our drag queens, leather slaves, and nearly nude go-go boys at the heterosexuals? Absolutely not. And for the most part, heterosexuals keep their sexual proclivities behind closed doors and so should we. Do you want to know HOW to be proud to be gay? Then get your butts out of the bars and into the AIDS hospices, the local gay youth outreach centers, and the GLBT support groups - help the less fortunate in our community. THAT builds community spirit, THAT bonds our community, THAT makes our community strong.
