• 1) Communication is firstly one of the key factors- for example, people can find members of their family that would have not been possible to trace before. We can now trace our family tree.

  2)Whereas people would have to write or use phones, they can now send e-mails to communicate. Social Networking sites change the way we interact with one another, and we can meet people from all over the world in a flash that we once would not be able to do.

  3) Internet has opened up a complete new door for businesses- meetings can take place with people at different locations in the world with the aid of the internet and web cams etc.

  3i)Think of e-commerce. This has changed the way in which we shop. E-bay is a huge example of this. We can buy things for a bargain that we simply could not do before. It has also made things such as buying tickets online to fly abroad. The function of E-tickets can now make checking in quicker and avoiding queues.

  3ii) Also, businesses can use the internet as a great advertising tool- you see adverts and pop ups everywhere!

  4) The internet is a great knowledge resource. Type something into a search engine and you have your answer in seconds!

  Since we can do things at the click of a button, we probably shop and talk more on our computers than we do physically, and this will continue. There are other downsides to the internet- there are sites and forums that are potentially dangerous and brainwashing. For example, pro-anoerexia sites, pornographic sites etc. It is also easier to access people's information, whether it be their credit card details, or where they go to school etc. This can make the world a potentially more dangerous place.

• With the invention of the internet, it is much easier to get in touch with other people. There is an excessive amount of online social networking sites. People from other ends of the world can meet and talk to each other.

  Dangers: some people don't realize that the internet is an alternate reality. Some people do not develop effective social skills due to the internet. People are anonymous on the internet, to a certain degree, so they are more likely to say hurtful things and commit crimes.

• well before the internet we could not just go on google or dictionary.com to look up answers. we could not go on youtube or myspace, which most kids have an account on. after the internet well it made life easier, but it made people lazier. some people base their lives on the computer for work, school, bills, etc. just imagine, the technology int the U.S.A is supposed to double every 2 years! and think about how the great depression was, now in economical ways we are pretty close. and none of the same stuff has happened. we are handling things differently because of the internet, cell phones, etc.

• no quick and easy ways to communicate letters arent very common now internet is a good way to get kidnapped people are lazier now cuz before the internet there wasnt anything to do on a computer ummm thats all i can think of...

• before the internet, finding information was really hard and you had to search yourself and find books for what you wanted to find. Now we just have simple search engines such as google which searches for us. also you can find anything on the internet you want so kids are more prone to coming across innapropriate sites and things of that sort so it isn't only positive changes.

  People used to socialize face to face. People used to use dictionaries and encyclopedias. People used to go to the library to do research and look through card catalogs to find the books they needed. People used to write letters in English (Not lol, lmao, OMG etc.)
