Four 8 oz cups of coffee = 32 oz/day.
Multiply .25 times 32 oz = 8 oz. Subtract 8 oz from 32 oz = 24 oz.

well 25% of 4 is 1. so he can have 4-1 cups per day which leaves him with 3.
and 3 multiplied with 8-oz is 24 oz 😀

well. think. four 8-oz. cups per day = 32 oz. per day.
find 25% of 32, which is 8. then, subtract 8 from 32 to get 24.

four 8 oz. cups is 32oz. per day. A cut back of 25% means he can have 75% of 32 which is .75*32 which equals 24 oz.

or, another approach:
he drinks 4 cups a day
cutting back by 25% (or a quarter) means he will skip one of those cups, andn drink 3 cups
3(8) = 24
-
if he has 4 8oz cups then he has 32oz a day usually
25% is .25
.25 * 32 = 8
so he has to cut back 8 oz so
32 - 8 = 24
24oz is you answer 🙂
