i have a bit of constipation and i found out that bananas are high in fibre
so if you could answer that would be great
About 40 minutes, but It could be up to 2 hours depending on other foods eaten that day.
There's no hard and fast rule. Depends on a lot of things. How quickly you ate the banana, how healthy your digestive system is etc. But I'd give anywhere from 3 hours to 3 days.
Do know however, that Banana is a bit "questionable" when it comes to constipation. It's true that it's high in fiber but some say that it can cause constipation. So it's best to stick to fruit and vegetables that are known to naturally induce a bowel movement such as prune juice and apricot.
Also drink lots of water throughout the day.
Bananas are one fruit you should avoid if you're prone to constipation - the potassium in them is bad for bowel function.
Pear, prune, apricot, g ɾąքҽ , melon, kiwi, mango, pineapple...there are so many better, bowel-friendly, fruits to chose from!
