Dried Basil is much stronger than fresh. Id start with 1 Tbs. and add more to your taste. I love Basil and would use 2 Tbs. but that is my taste.

how much dried basil=1/4 cup fresh basil

how much dried basil = 1/4 c fresh basil

The rule is generally half the needed amount dried. Fresh basil contains more water and thus isn't as concentrated in flavor, so 2 Tbs. should be good.

Usually it's a 3 to 1 ratio, like one tablespoon of dried equals 3 tablespoons of fresh. You can do the math

about 1/12 of a cup, but you could get by with about 4 teaspoons.
