I was t-boned by another car while I was going straight and she was turning left, the accident was 100% the other drivers fault, it states so in the police report.
My car damage was estimated at $3200
Medical Bills $1000
One week off work $700
Rental Car $600
I was diagnosed with whiplash.
How much can I expect from the settlement?
My medical bills are only $1000 because I went to urgent care rather than the ER because I know the ER shouldn't be utilized for such menial injuries.
The rental car was $600 because it took the insurance company 3 weeks to approve the repairs to the vehicle. The rental car was the cheapest "economy" car avaliable, a tiny Nissan Versa. My car is a 2008 Toyota Camry, that vehicle wasn't even close to comparable.

Car damage and rental car are handled under the property damage claim. That would be the $3200 for the estimate and the $600 for the car rental (provided you did not take out any damage waivers or incur fuel surcharges. The insurance company will only consider the daily rate + tax for a reasonable repair time. They also don't owe you a larger/nicer car than you own.)
Med bills $1000 (probably just a check/release at the ER)
$700 in lost wages (be prepared to document this with a letter from your employer and a couple of pay stubs)
Total medical specials: 1700.00
This would probably settle in the 2500-3000 range. The lost wages don't add any value to the claim other than dollar for dollar. Soft tissue injury claims are not high value. So 500-1000 over the medical specials is probably where this would fall. But it all depends on the company you are dealing with and the venue where it happened. Remember, we only have the above information you provided to assess this with. The adjuster handling the claim has the police report, photos/estimates of the vehicle, med bills/records etc.

I got a grand total of $3000 out of a $9000 settlement. The insurance company got part and my lawyer got the rest. If you settle you have to pay your insurance company back for all the medical treatments. I was 16 when that accident happened and settled just before I turned 21. I still had issues from the accident and my health declined greatly afterwards. Try to get as much as you can because if someone else hits you in the future you won't get a damn thing. 🙁

tHAT DEPENDS on the insurance company and what they decide to do. Usually the car gets checked out and an adjuster sends a check to get the car repaired. I don't know about the rental that's something you may or may not get. 600 dollars sounds excessive for 3200 in damages It depends on how severely you were injured and if you have any permanent scars or disabling injuries. If you have an attorney representing you or if you have full coverage insurance they may be the one you want to ask. If you plan to do this on your own for now all you can do is wait until you are permanent and stationary and see what the insurance wants to do or offer they want to make. If you do not like the offer you can come up with one on your own or you can politely say no thanks And start looking for an attorney if that's what you think is necessary. In any case hang in there do your best to heal up AND keep the faith. Accidents suck insurance companies are not your friend and sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do. Tighten up your belt and hang on for the ride sometimes you have to be more patient than you want to.

That depends on what State you're in. But I'd say the money to get your car fix, your one weeks pay, your rental if it out of pocket and 1 to 3 thousand maxs for pain. Your medical bill are very low and I would not get a attorney base on this amount of money a attorney would get a third of it.Talk to the insurance company let them know you have bodly injures and work it out.If your state is a No fault state you will not be able to get anything.

7 years ago I've been involved in a car wreck and even since suffered with severe on and off facial and jaw pain. I've tried almost everything western medicine had to offer and had visited countless of specialist, had done ct scans, and therapies but to no avail. The doctors I have been to had persisted that there wasn't anything wrong with me and that almost drove me crazy as I was going through hell from this condition. According to all my symptoms I was diagnosed by a holistic doctor as having TMJ and he had recommended this book to me. After following the recommendation in the book for several weeks, it had changed my life. I got immediate relief after following the unique set of exercises in the book and after 2 weeks the jaw and face pain had completely gone. I only wish I would have ordered this program years ago. It would have saved me a lot of pain and anguish.
