I'm doing my science fair project on "How strong is a toothpick?" and I've looked everywhere, and I don't know how to test it. I can't find the steps to do it, or anything.
P.S. I have to participate in this, or I will fail the 8th grade 🙁 How harsh is that? lol
Thank you for your help 🙂
Have a nice day!

Take two bricks.
Tie dental floss to a tooth pick.
Place tooth pick across bricks.
Let string hang in gap between.
Incrementally add weight to the floss.
When it snaps, the prior weight will be its top weight.
Do this several times.

Put the toothpick between two blocks so that most of it is sticking out and hang objects of varying weights on it, seeing if it breaks or bends or something.

Get a tool - such as a clamp type of tool and slowly wind it into the toothpick until it snaps yeh?

Weaker than those little pieces of corn that you always get stuck in your teeth after eating corn on the cob.
