Well you see this is a difficult topic for me.
All my life i've been troubled by weight (I'm only 15 and a half)
I'm extremely self conscious about my appearance. For example I get shy if I have to act or read something to the class.
Although I am not the most popular person around, I have a lot of really good friends who have always stood up for me and have always been nice.
Now I come to my main problem:
Girls.
I have never properly gone out with a girl (Much to some people's amusᴇмᴇɴt).
This is my main motivation for getting fit.
I'm asking for little tips, and don't give me this "EXCERCISE LOTS LOL or GAG URSELF" crap.
I worked up a lot of courage to come ask this question.
So, please help me with little tips on weight loss and remember I'm only 15, I'm in school and studying so I can't make constant trips to the gym or just get surgery.
This is a difficult thing for me to ask.
Please help...

You have to EAT HEALTHY, and EXCERCISE!!!!!!!! Its more about a lifestyle change than anything else.
For a healthy diet, you need to be eating small to medium meals regularly. 4 or even 5 times a day. Each meal (apart from breakfast which should preferably be fibre rich), should contain a balanced ammount of carbohydrates for energy, (from potatoes, rice and pasta, etc) protien (from fish, cнιcκen, occassional red meat is fine, soya is good too) and plenty of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants (simple fresh fruit and veg). Eat like this and make sure you are well hydrated (fruit juice is as good as water, any fluid counts, but some fluids have negative effects too, such as alcohol or caffiene rich drinks.)
You can have a wide range of healthy meals with this, from Thai, Chinese, Italian, British, Indian, etc. Just make sure each meal contains balanced ammounts of these three. On the bright side too, fresh veg and rice and pasta is a lot cheaper than crappy junk food!
This doesn't mean you cant have chocolate or pizza/takeaway/etc, just save them as very occassional treats.
The big secret to keeping a healthy weight and staying healthy is EXCERCISE, particularly cardio excercise (running, swimming, cycling, etc).
Cardio exercise will not only burn calories and reduce your body fat levels, but will also improve your resting heart rate and lung function, making you healthier.
Strength training will help you strengthen and tone your muscles. Heavy weights with short reps/sets will build your fast twitch muscle fibres and build size, power and strength, but if you use light to medium weights with lots of reps/sets, you wont build size, but you will tone up your body and train muscle endurance. This will obviously make you 'look' healthier and more toned, but will also increase your metabolism (as your muscles demand more energy) so you will burn calories faster.
As far as excercise goes, you should aim to strike a balance between cardio training and strength training, this way you will build good strong and toned muscle, but also keep your body fat levels down and increase your heart and lung performance, making you much fitter and healthier.
Hope this helps.

1. First start by getting up earlier than usual. Around 5:30 AM to do some of you workouts. Getting up early shocks your metabolism because the body needs more energy to get going. Right? This will start your system on the road to weight loss. That early start with about 10 minutes of stretching. Have a cup of coffee to get the blood going also. 2. Do all the sit-ups you can. Just do them. 15 or 20 whatever, we don't have a lot of time to work with. Rest 1 minute repeat, do this for 6 sets. Already you are breathing hard and feel worn, because the body is working extra hard at being up earlier and then going right into exercise. If the early morning hour lets you get your cardio in, go ahead and do it. 30 minutes. 3. Diet. Cut all current meal portions in half, just cut them in half, nothing fancy or complicated, CUT IN HALF! Cut out all bread products, all gravies, candies, chips, night snacks, etc. If you crave at night eat a banana, other fruit or best a non-fat yogurt. There are some tasty ones out there. 4. In the evening do another 6 sets of sit-ups maxing out each set. Cardio again. The trick is to stay with getting up earlier. Yes it’s hard, that’s why it is so effective. Why do you think the Army gets up so early, it is intense training to the max.

If your are already heavy but not gaining weight right now you do not need to do much. Eat just what you are eating now but skip the last mouth full of everything you normally have. If you can see you are still tend to gain weight you will have to give up the last 2 bites of everything.
Actually do not give up the last bites of fruits and vegetables. Maybe even increase them a bit as you cut down on meat, deserts, salad dressings, all the things common sense ells you are high calorie.
For exercise, if you do not like it, avoid it. But try to stay up on your feet and walk a bit more. If you do like some sport or exercise do it more intensely.
Do not try to go overboard on either diet or exercise, that is why they always fail. SLip into a small reduction of food and a tiny increment of movement. Being young the benefis will show up fast.

My sister, also 15 is going thru this same thing, i signed her up to www.bootsdiets.com and it lets you put in all your weight height age (think i had to put her down as 18 as you have to pay for it) and it calculates what weight you should be etc, all you need to do is choose a weight you wish to be and it will calculate how long it will take you to lose that weight and which date you will reach your goal, it then tells you how many calories you must stick to a day, you type wot u eat in2 the online food diary and it put the amount of calories in that you have consumed, so it keeps you right with wot you have left each day, there also the chat room where every1 supports each other etc, theres loads more to it too, i would def recommend it, what every way you do it, just do it sensibly and good luck, oh and so far my sister has lost 6lbs in 2 weeks x

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Start by looking at what you are eating. Don't eat if you aren't hungry, and try and avoid snacking (If you do need to snack, eat fruit) Avoid sweets, crisps and high fat foods like pizza etc.
I don't recommend counting calories or going on a 'diet' as you are only 15, and still have a lot of growing to do.
Exercise is important too, so try and walk places as often as you can instead of getting the bus or a lift, and make sure you are doing 20 mins of exercise 3 times a week (This can be walking, dancing, gym class etc)
Hope this helps, good luck!

Why not try kick boxing? This is gonna sound stupid but watch a movie called "Never Back Down" My brother is 16 and once he watched this movie, he's got fitter and even bought punch bags and is trying to find a class. You could try running, do you have a treadmill? I doubt you'll want to go out running around your block if you don't but try jogging on the spot for 5 minutes and every 2 days you do it build up another minute. Drink lots of water, it fills you up and doesn't make you want to eat, also if you have spots it will clear them up. Girls - do you like a specific girl? Do any girls ever talk to you? If they do try and talk to her more, ask for her number - girls like that and if she gives you her number/msn talk to her more and when you get to a comfy friendship ask her out to the cinema or just shopping.

i think you should just cut certain things out of your diet such as chocolate and other fatty foods.
u should also try exercising more, walking to and back from school could help
or if u brought some keep fit stuff which you could use at home
u could also just watch how many calories you eat and try and do about 30 minutes of excercise a day or something.

hi
my advice to you would be to eat fish instead of meat when you can but not fried or battered fish as this is unhealthy to but griddled cod or something if you're not real fish eater, also try drinking soup as this is mainly water and if you drink a lot it fills you up real nice
and as for exercise it never works if you force yourself try and find a sport you enjoy, for me it's swimming and hockey, but once you enjoy it you'll look forward to training and loose weight real quick 🙂
ps loads of people havnt had girlfriends or boyfriends by the time they're 15..i would worry about it....good luck x
