  • Make a factor tree.

    88=44*2

    44=22*2

    22=11*2

    Neither 11 or 2 have any other prime factors.

    So

    88=222*11

  • Prime Factorization Of 88

  • all that it means is find the prime factorization

    88/2 =44

    44/2 =22

    22/2 =11

    2x2x2x11=88

    so, 2x2x2x11=88 is the answer

  • Check out my eHow article on how to do prime factorization, which is what this problem is about:

    http://www.ehow.com/how_4776386_do-prime-factoriza...

    Prime numbers are 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,...

    88=8*11 but 8 is not prime.

    88=(42)11 but 4 is not prime.

    88=222*11; this is the answer. All factors are prime.

  • 2^3 x 11

    Proof:

           88/2 = 44

           44/2 = 22

           22/2 = 11

           11/11 = 1

    The divisors are 2, 2, 2 and 11

    So the awnser is: 2^3 x 11

  • 2^3 x 11

  • Here's a visual factor tree for 88:

  • 2^3 * 11

  • Just use any number of prime numbers to reach it using multiplication, such as 2,3,7,11 etc.

    You could say 2x2x2x11, for example.

  • 2x2x2x11
