I could help you....but the movie Patch Adams was based on the real Patch Adams. If you wikipedia the guy it'll probably answer your questions. Haven't seen the movie in a few years.
If you are really stuck..edit your questions ("add details") and post all your questions - I'll look back later and try to answer.
1) After a suicide attempt, Adams seeks psychiatric help and is institutionalized. During this time he is inspired to become a medical doctor, and discovers that he is able to forget his own problems by helping others.
2) not money driven - even ran a free clinic when in med school - accepting patients with no medical insurance
3) gifts - comedy/humor, humility, humbleness, understanding, empathy
5) they are far too rigid - protocols before people......they see that patient as a task or job, not as a person........they are very structured, don't want to think outside the box or try different methods
6) patch decides to change the system by buying land and creating his own hospital called the Gesundheit Institute - a place where he could be the one to decide on how patient care would be done

Here are my best answers for a couple of the questions:
2) describe patch's approach to treating patients. how is his approach different from some of his professors and ᴘᴇᴇrs
He treated patients using emotional healing (making them laugh, for example) as well as medicine.
5) what injustices does patch see in medical treatments and institutions
The overall cost of health care and the professional detachment that doctors take towards patients (i.e. reducing them to simple numbers and not caring about the patient themselves)

How would you summarize Patch's philosophy on vocation and service?
