If a 2.80 M sample of A is heated to 500 K, what is the concentration of B at equilibrium?

Consider the following reaction.

A (aq) <==> 2B (aq)

(<==> to show equilibrium sign)

Kc = 8.87*10^-6 at 500K

1 Answer

  • K = B^2/2.8= 8.87*10^-6

    so

    B = 4.98*10^-3 M
