You can convert mcg to mg, but you can’t convert 300 mcg to 3 mg, they are not equivalent, neither are 300 mcg and 5 mg 1 mcg = 1/1000 mg 300mcg x 1/1000 mg/mcg = 300/1000 mg = 3/10 mg = .3 mg 5 mg x 1000 mcg/mg = 5000 mcg So, what you need is the proper dosage. If the pills are 300mcg and you need 3mg & 5mg, then: 300mcg = .3mg You would need 10 pills to make 3mg. .3/1 = 5/x x = 5/.3 = 16 2/3 pills You would need 16 2/3 pills to make 5mg. I would talk to your pharmacist before taking that many pills. The equivalencies may not be correct on the bottle. You certainly don’t want to OD.

1 milligram = 1000 microgram
3 mg = 3000 mcg
300 mcg = 0.3 mg
thus, 300 mcg (0.3mg) is less than 3 mg

300 mcg = 0.3 mg There are 1000 mcg per mg which makes me wonder if your question is accurately copied or expressed?
