  • (3x² - x - 2) ÷ (x + 4)

    => Using the remainder theorem, set x + 4 to be equal to 0, i.e.

    x + 4 = 0

    x = - 4

    => Substitute - 4 for x in 3x² - x - 2, i.e.

    3(- 4)² - (- 4) - 2

    = 3 * 16 + 4 - 2

    = 48 + 4 - 2

    = 52 - 2

    = 50 ...

    => From the remainder theorem of calculation, we can say that option A is correct ...Ans.
