What volume will 4.91 x 1022 atoms of Ar occupy at STP?

I know what the answer is but I don't understand what formula to use to get 1.83 L.

  • @STP Youre given 4.91 x 10^22 atoms

Find the amount of moles by dividing that number by Avogadro's constant: 6.02 x 10^23

That would give you .082 moles

    Now @ STP 1 mole = 22.4 Liters

    .082moles X 22.4 Liters/moles = moles cancel out and you get 1.83 Liters
