So im interested in pledging for delta sigma theta, what are the requirements of doing so?

• Rush is held at the discretion of the local chapter. If you are in college, then the chapter will post flyers announcing RUSH. You can also contact your local Greek office for more information. Of course, you must attend RUSH to be considered for membership that semester.

  GPA must be at least a 2.75 on a 4.0 scale or 1.75 on a 3.0 scale.

  The length of the process MAY be discussed at RUSH but I do not have the information to share and I doubt that anyone will share on this board.

  The amount of community service varies based on if you are a college aspirant or a graduate aspirant with the latter requiring more. This information is not openly given though because they look for women who don't appear to just have done enough to be considered for membership. Therefore, I just suggest that if you don't have any now, that you get to work tomorrow. LOL. All community service must have been performed within 2 years of your application. Therefore if you were to put in an application say tomorrow, they would only consider thing down after December 2008.

  RUSH is a one night activity. They discuss the requirements for membership, information about the organization, and other important information. You also pick up your application here. Following turning in the application, at a time that will be told at the RUSH, they invited selected people back for an interview. Not everyone may get this interview, but those who don't weren't selected to make that far. Following the interviews, the chapter will discuss all potential members and vote on who they believe makes the best candidate. This is where having a great GPA, a lot of community service, and connections within the chapter come in handy. Once they have chosen the potential members, they notify them of the beginning of Membership Intake Process. Again, I don't know how long but its definitely less than a semester.

  I am going to be totally honest with you, based on what you said about your GPA I highly doubt that becoming a Delta is in your future. Chapters consider applications from ladies with a minimum of 2.75 GPA (along with the other requirements). If you do not have meet this threshold, your application will be automatically rejected.
