I was listening to Dane Cook, and I heard this quote. I've never seen Silence of the Lambs, so I'm a little confused as to what this means. Can anyone help?

I don't know that it means anything it's just part of the movie, buffalo bill lowers lotion in a basket down the well to his prisoner and tells her "it rubs the lotion on the skin or else it gets the hose again" meaning if she does not put lotion on he will soak her with the water hose, after she puts the lotion on he tells her to put the lotion in the basket so he can pull it back up........other then that you lost me

It's a quote from the movie "Silence of the Lambs" where a murderer keeps a woman in a well in the basᴇмᴇɴt of a house. He lowers her down lotion so that she may apply it to her skin to get her skin ready so that he may make clothing out of it. After she applies the lotion he instructs her to "put the lotion [back] in the basket"

There's a part in SOTL where Buffalo Bill (played by Ted Levine) keeps a girl he kidnapped in a well and he tells "it" as he calls her to put lotion on herself. Then he repeatedly demands that she put the lotion in the basket.

In the movie, a character is stuck in a big hole in the ground. She is given lotion that is brought down to her in a basket. A popular line from the movie is, "Put the lotion on the skin to keep the mosture in." The character is than instructed to "put the lotion back in the basket."
