i read it in a poem by anne bradford and im supposed to rephrase it but i have no idea what recompetence means!

It's not an actual word. Re means to repeat, and competence is the ability to do something well. So, this would be the repeating ability to accomplish something.

It means to obey parents without question! ("I give the recompetence...")
