What does reference code S0900 with Comcast cable mean?

  • Are you sure it's not "S0A00"?

If it's S0A00, it should also be showing a "One Moment Please..." type message.

This usually means that the signal between Comcast and your cable box has been disrupted. Sometimes, Tech Support can send a new signal to revive the box, but often it's something else.

    1) Are all of the cables connected to where they should be and are they tight (finger tight, not tool tight)

    2) If you have other Comcast services, are they working (i.e. phone, Internet)

    3) Is this happening on ALL TVs in the house or just one

Generally, call 1-800-COMCAST and have someone troubleshoot the problem. If they can't fix it from there, they'll be able to schedule a tech to come out and take a look.

  • Ref Code S0900

  • I work for a cable company myself actually (neither Cox nor Comcast!) and my choice would be Cox.

  • Wow, that answer was literally no help whatsoever. "Call Comcast". Yeah, I'm she could've figured that out on her own. I'm also pretty sure if she meant "S0A00" she would've typed that.

the problem ???? Hate to call back might get tech who does not
