Fans of the band Iron Maiden yell "Up The Irons!" all the time. What does it mean/where did it come from?

It started as a rally call for their football squad consisting of members of the band and crew. Bruce ᗪıc̫ҡinson's tag line "Scream for me!" is used by many rockers now.

The term comes from 18th Century Naval War equipment/ammo which is two cannon balls connected by chains, shot from a cannon to demast a ship. The command is Up the Irons !!! Iron maiden made it cool !!!
It is a call for Iron Maiden’s favourite team, West Ham United, to excel, nothing else.
