  • 1) c - you could take out "my sister" and the dependent clause "the tallest girl in her class" and still have a sentence: Emily has many friends. That is the true point to the sentence.

    2) b - A better vocabulary shouldn't change the length of sentences you write...longer sentences aren't necessarily better. You should always spend a lot of time revising. You might not always be putting different words in, but you could be making several types of changes. D makes no sense.
