Here is Led Zeppelin's song Kashmir, if you are not familiar with it:

For whatever reason, this song VERY strongly reminds me of something (whether the movies, video games, or trailers) from the James Bond universe; ESPECIALLY the first 18 seconds of it. I cannot find where it is used, even after thoroughly searching the internet, so any help would be strongly appreciated.
I have read many other questions on Yahoo Answers that ask the same thing and have been met with replies to the effect of either "No, you're crazy" or "it sounds kinda similar to the opening credits to this James Bond film" - which it doesn't. The reason that I am not crazy is, after conducting a very formal and strictly controlled study (asking approximately five of my friends) what this song reminded them of, all of them replied that it was from some James Bond movie.
On top of that, there is a string quartet, named nothing other than "Bond" that did a remix of this song. No, the concepts are not linked in my mind due to the similarity of their names, I learned of this quartet only AFTER searching extensively for what piece of James Bond media this is from.
I get the suspicion that it might be from somewhere within the Nintendo 64 "Goldeneye 007" game, be it music for a level, or even just pause screen music; but I cannot find either that match. This would explain why some people are strongly convinced that it is not from anything relating to James Bond - perhaps they aren't from the "video game generation" and have only seen the movies, not played the game.
If you do know or figure out what James Bond film/game/trailer etc. this is from, for the love of god, post a link to the Youtube video, etc to back it up, you might just become my lifelong hero.

You're certainly not the first persion to have drawn the parallel between the beginning of Kashmir and the "Mission Briefing" music from the N64 game "Goldeneye 007". I found at least one forum that mentioned the similarity and even included the youtube link below.

You are correct, it was indeed used in a James Bond film, Goldeneye and was used in the opening credits however only a small section of it was used in the song 🙂

I was just thinking about this! I thought it was Kashmir for the longest time, but then I realized I was actually thinking about "Live and Let Die" by Paul McCartney, for the Bond film of the same name "Live and Let Die".
