  • Those kofte mixtures are not bad but never tastes like the ones you make yourself.

You should put, some bread (inside part of a bread, and should be 1-2 days old). And tiny cut garlic and onion.

After these you need to put some spices. Cumin, black pepper, sumac i'd put in. You can add other spices as your taste.

  • Where are you located? If you're in London, head to Hackney or to the Elephant & Castle area--both areas have large Turkish populations and will likely have Knorr's kofte harci on offer. If you're in the States or Canada, try www.bestturkishfoods.com.

There are some 300 different types of Turkish kofte, so you have a lot of room for experimentation! Afiyet olsun

  • Wow, I am amazed !! Even our boys know what to put in a köfte mix. I wonder if they are making it for their wives or girls friends :p.

Yeah, I agree with all of the above, cumin, black pepper, bread crumbs and grated onions is a must. The rest are optional.

One small tip: If you want your köfte's to be irresistible, use half ground beef and half ground lamb. ( mom's secret recipe 🙂 )

  • Here's mine:

mix minced meat with grated onion, crushed sweet red pepper, blackpepper, thyme, cumin, peppermint and breadstick crumbs or wet stale bread without crust.

In my opinion, anything goes for meatballs. Just improvise.

  • Cummin is a must. A bit of ground black pepper, u can use thyme as well. Add some breadcrumbs and an egg to make them softer. Finely chopped or grated onion and chopped parsley of course.

  • I saw your question 4 hours later. I think you eat it.

    Have a nice day.

  • dont panic... 🙂 onions, parsley, dry bread, black pepper and cumin... thats what they put in the knorr meat balls mix..

  • There are no rules to cooking except it should taste good! Use what you have and name it something else!
