Where is the closest beach on the ocean to Albany, NY?

• The ocean isn't very close here, except for New Jersey (Cape May can be nice) have you considered Lake George or Lake Champlain? Otherwise you could head for Cape Cod, but the traffic can be horrific.

• The closest ocean would be in White Plains/southern Connecticut. Right down the thruway to 287 East. About 2 - 2 1/2 hours.

• Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. About 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive, depending on traffic. And much nicer than Jersey, IMO.

• 3-31/2 hours your can be in Waterford Connecticut. There are a few Beaches in the area but mostly club owned. There is one that I love and it is on the ocean....Ocean Beach Park....You can find it on line as well. Very nice and clean!! Great for all ages...I have gone with my boy friend and also with the kids. I know you submitted this a long time ago but love to share something good!
