  • 1) x^3+3x^2-5x-15=0 has 3 distinct real roots:

    x=-3, x=+/- 2.236068=+/-sqrt(5)

    2) x^3+2x^2-3x-6=0 has 3 distinct real roots:

    x=-2, x=+/- 1.732051=+/- sqrt(3)

    3) x^3-3x^2-5x+15=0 has 3 distinct real roots:

    x=3, x=+/-2.236068=+/-sqrt(5)

    4) x^3-2x^2-3x+6=0 has 3 distinct real roots:

    x=2, x=+/- 1.732051=+/-sqrt(3). Answer.

  • x = √3 and again, √3 and 2??
